Founder Partner

Colin Orviss has more than 35 years experience in the Communications and digitally connected life arenas, having worked in executive positions for two Tier 1 European CSPs and in senior international roles in major US and Indian corporations. He has worked as an independent international Communications consultant since 1992 (founding Logan-Orviss International in 1995) for CSPs and other companies in the connected society in over 50 countries on all continents.  In this role, he has reviewed and defined new business models, enterprise information systems architectures and program managed the implementation of solutions as a business change catalyst. He focuses on the adoption of new models and operationalizing the IoE/M2M and the roles of the various players in the new eco-system.

Mary Whatman

Mary Whatman has more than 25 years of international experience in the Communications, IT, Government and Managed Services arenas, having worked in senior management positions for three Tier 1 Communications providers, systems integrators and software vendors. She has worked extensively in several industries in the areas of business transformation, business technology planning, organizational transformation, applications architecture, systems development/deployment, and corporate technology management. The focus of these activities has been accelerating the pace of business change, connecting business to their customers and enabling enterprises to respond to domestic and international opportunities particularly as they transform to the Industrial Internet.  Over the past few years, Mary has been specializing on the business strategy for enhanced eco-system partnerships and has co-authored a suite of new business, functional and technical models that effectively and efficiently operationalize and monetize the IoE/M2M, Connected Society and the Industrial Internet.

Donna has more than 30 years of international experience in Communications, IT and Aerospace in a career spanning senior executive, consultant and engineering positions. Her background and interest in the models and approaches for business improvement and change management have been leveraged in her management experience across such functions as finance, operations, program and product management, strategy and technology.  Some of Donna’s areas of specialization include: Business process improvement strategies and change program development for both cost improvement and operations excellence; contract and vendor management (IT, service and call centre); financial controls; organization design and mentoring; audit and program assessment; business start-up and growth; merger support; strategy planning and large scale change program support.
